My new sled... On my last tour, I was using a bran My new sled...
On my last tour, I was using a brand new sled. It's a Skonk sled built by Snorre Næss in Norway.

This is a little bit different from our other Skonksleds. This is builded as a classic basket sled. This type of sled is the best in 9 of 10 times. Then, if you get very slushy and wet heavy snow when the sled rides on the bottom... then it's not a nice sled. Then you want a toboggan.

Last week, I used it for a 10 day trip with a hanger behind. That's a lot of weight in the sled.

This sled also got a totally new kind of break. All over this new invention is good. I want to make the plastic part a little bit wider to prevent me from getting my fot between the break and the runner. I have already talked with Snorre, and he will probably provide that as a small extra thing you just attach to the break if you want.

All over this is one of the best sleds I have run so far! It's possible to still stear it even when it's heavy loaded. Tomorrow, I'm heading out for four more weeks on the trail. Will this sled still be my favourite after another month on the trail? What do you think?

We crossed frozen lakes and went into deep valleys We crossed frozen lakes and went into deep valleys during our trip towards Jokkmokk. This route between Saltoluokta and Jokkmokk contains both high mountains, big lakes, and old forest. It really shows a big part of the variations of nature in northern Sweden. /Matti
Three more of the huskies that were with me last w Three more of the huskies that were with me last week.
1. Sofia. A tiny female who always works hard and always wants to go into the sofa.
2. Åttan. 10 years old and still going strong. She just finished a 10 day long trip without problems. She has always been a great friend in the team.
3. Cula. She is also a good sleddog. She is the kind of personality that you don't see. She never takes space. She just exists and makes her work. When she gets attention, she can melt down anyone's heart! She is really lovely.

This is just three of many different personalities. We will try to show them all...
