Xara. She was one of the accidental puppies from t Xara. She was one of the accidental puppies from the x-litter. We usually have a breeding plan. Bloodlines, strong or weak sides of the dogs need to be combined in a smart way.

The dogs are not always listening to us. The x-litter is the result of one of this action of love between two of our dogs.

We had Xara, Xtreme and Xalo. All really good dogs. Some of their siblings moved to other kennels and made races, worked as sled dogs and one, Xanjo, turned in to a pet dog.

One question we very often get from our guest is ‘do they have names?’. Yes… they have names, they have a story, we know their family in several generations behind them… and their family members have been working with us.

We had to put Xtreme to sleep last winter. Then he was 13 years old. Xara and Xalo passed away before him.

Some days ago (in stories) I showed that Laban was making his first run as a leader for the team. Labans grandfather is Xalo.

Singistugan at the northern part of Kungsleden. Ou Singistugan at the northern part of Kungsleden. Our colleagues and friends Karin and Juoha prepare their team for taking off. We had an unplanned meeting in middle of the mountains during our journey. After lots of chatting, tea and coffee we said goodbye and continued in different directions.

When we work like we do we very rarely meet our friends from Jokkmokk during the high season. We are always on the go.

Sunshine and drifting snow is a beautiful experien Sunshine and drifting snow is a beautiful experience. To be honest… I prefer to not have to much of the heavy winds.

This picture is from the archive. It’s from a crossing Sarek trip some years ago.
